World Cup 2018: Germany midfielder Sebastian Rudy replaced after suffering bloody nose in clash with Sweden’s Ola Toivonen
Bayern Munich ace was caught by boot of Swedish star, leaving him with blood dripping from his face
GERMANY'S Sebastian Rudy was forced off after a kick in the face left him with blood pouring from his nose.
The Bayern Munich midfielder was left bleeding in the 27th minute after a collision with Sweden's Ola Toivonen.
It had looked as though Rudy would be able to continue, as he began to change his stained shirt.
The German slid to knock the ball out of Toivonen's path, only for the Swede to catch his nose with his boot as he passed by.
Physios came on to stop the bleeding with Rudy going off and not looking like the clash had phased him.
But he was later seen looking dreary on the Germany bench with an ice pack on his neck - and team doctors made the decision to substitute him.

As the decision was made to replace him, the 28-year-old threw down a warm-up bib in frustration.
Gundogan came on in his place after 31 minutes, for his first action of the World Cup.
The stoppage looked to have shaken the Germans as Toivonen scored the opening goal of the game soon after.
His determination paid, stretching to beat Antonio Rudiger to the ball in the penalty area, and chipping Manuel Neuer.
