World Cup 2018: Romelu Lukaku keen to help Marcus Rashford become one of the best strikers on the planet
Belgium top scorer says his Man Utd team-mate is already a 'complete No 9' and can have a huge impact on the tournament
ROMELU LUKAKU says he will help Marcus Rashford become one of the best strikers on the planet.
The Belgium striker insists his Manchester United team-mate can have a massive impact at the World Cup - and peak before the next tournament comes around.
He said: “Of course, Marcus is basically my working partner at United. We do everything together and I try to help him as much as I can.
“He has a lot of qualities and for me he is maybe the one of the most complete No9s.
“He can do everything. In the next two or three years you will see the best out of Marcus because he can do everything a footballer needs to do.
“For me, I just try to help him in this process and hopefully along the way we can achieve great things together."
At the moment Lukaku is ahead of Rashford in the pecking order at Old Trafford - and for England it is Harry Kane who leads the line.
Lukaku is one goal behind Kane in the Golden Boot race and will return for the last-16 clash against Japan following an ankle injury.
He added: “Basically there is a ligament on the outside of my ankle and I tweaked it a little bit so it was really a tight feeling when I did it and I couldn’t continue against Tunisia.
“It continued for two days. The day before the England game I did some sprints and told the manager I was okay for the bench.
"I’ll be 100% for Monday with the treatment.”
