MARIO MANDZUKIC racked up a £3,000 bar tab as Croatia booked their spot in the World Cup semi-finals.
The Juventus striker treated fans in his hometown of Slavonski Brod to free beers during Saturday's match.
The Croats narrowly beat Russia on penalties to set up a semi-final showdown with England.
Fans that watched the match at the Brod Fortress in Croatia celebrated the win with a cold beverage.
Radio Slavonija said: "Mario Mandzukic did not forget about his hometown of Slavonski Brod.
"And he paid 25,000 kuna (around £3,000) so that he could buy fans drinks who turned up to watch the quarter final clash at the Brod Fortress."
The 32-year-old is renowned for his generosity and he donated around £17,000 to firefighters in Dalmatia last year.
His gesture ensured that thirty firemen received new professional gear to help them tackle the wildfires.
It will be back for business now for Mandzukic's side, who are preparing for Wednesday's showdown with England.
Gareth Southgate's side beat Sweden on Saturday to advance to the last four.
