IT'S safe to say, there was a lot riding on the England vs Croatia match yesterday.
Not only the hopes and dreams of every English football fans but also the fate of a certain photoshopped waistcoat which has taken the internet by storm.
What is Gareth Southgate's It's Coming Home waistcoat?
By now, every football fan and their mother knows that England manager Gareth Southgate loves a dapper waistcoat.
But what about the that captured the hearts of football fans on Twitter? Sadly, it doesn't actually exist... yet.
Last week, phone company to promote their P20's Pro zoom photography feature.
Joking "we're sew close", the company photoshopped the waistcoat to look as if the Three Lions lyrics "it's coming home" were sewn in the place of pinstripes.
Can I buy it in M&S?
After causing a stir online, official World Cup retailer M&S responded to Huawei's tweet with a social media post of their own.
Also taking to Twitter, the retailer shared a short video clip of a waistcoat being stamped with the famous Lightning Seeds lyrics.
In the video captioned "one step closer...", the high street store gave credit to Gareth's "#luckywaistcoat" for boosting England's triumph over Sweden.
While it is yet to be confirmed whether the novelty waistcoat is really happening, football fans hoped that if England made it through the semi-finals then M&S would have make our dreams a reality.
A spokesperson for Huawei told : "In the build up to England v Colombia, Huawei UK photoshopped the image for fun but it's really taken off and captured the hearts of England fans.
"If England make the final, our dream is to see Gareth walk out of the tunnel wearing that waistcoat in its full glory.
"The only brand we could ask to make this a reality is Marks and Spencer so we are asking them to get on board and help to bring it home."
Why were football fans wearing waistcoats yesterday?
Showing their support for the England team, football fans both home and abroad were donning Gareth Southgate's fashion staple as part of Waistcoat Wednesday.
Thousands of waistcoat wearing fans cheered England on from the sidelines but unfortunately it wasn't enough.
