ENGLAND fans have slammed Croatia star Vedran Corluka for trolling the heartbroken Three Lions after their World Cup semi-final defeat.
Mario Mandzukic's extra-time winner booked his side a spot in the final against France on Sunday.
But a wave of support back home had Gareth Southgate's side dreaming of a first triumph since 1966.
Football's Coming Home was the soundtrack to the summer - and Croatia's players seemed to have noticed it too.
So much so, in fact, that ex-Spurs star Corluka could not help but use it against a group of journalists as he passed through the mixed zone in Moscow last night.
Asked to stop for comment, he simply smiled and said: "It's not coming home."
It was hardly a malicious comment, but still some England supporters thought it was out of line.
One commented: "Disrespectful. I hope France stuff them."
Another said: "Douche move. I hope they get annihilated by the French."
A fellow user posted: "Comments from Modric, manager [Zlatko Dalic] and Corluka have convinced me to support France on Sunday."
One said: "Will be delightfully bathing in the tears of Modric, Corluka and Co on Sunday evening."
Others saw it differently.
A Twitter user said: "Good man Corluka, tell them it's not coming home."
Another posted: "The best assist of the tournament from Corluka."
A fellow user wrote: "That was a great response."
Luka Modric said English journalists and pundits fired his team on by not respecting Croatia enough.
And his midfield colleague Ivan Rakitic blasted the Three Lions for thinking they were already in the final.
