World Cup 2018: Croatia hero Ivan Perisic could miss final after being treated in hospital for thigh injury
Inter Milan winger is a doubt for the final after heading to hospital in Moscow for scans on his leg following 120 minutes of action in the semi-final against England
CROATIA ace Ivan Perisic could miss the World Cup final after picking up a thigh injury in the win over England.
The Inter Milan ace, 29, has been one of the standout players of this year's tournament and scored the equaliser against the Three Lions.
The winger was taken to hospital for scans on a thigh knock that could rule him out of Sunday's showpiece final.
And the whole of Croatia will be praying his leg can recover from the blow in time to face France.
Perisic has been linked with a move to Manchester United and he played the whole 120 minutes of the semi-final in the Luzhniki Stadium.
Mario Mandzukic got the extra-time winner for the men in black as they get set to go one further than they did in the 1998 World Cup in France, when they were KO'd in the semi-finals by the hosts.

Ice was applied to the goalscorer's left leg during the game, which went to extra time for the third time this tournament for Zlatko Dalic's side.
Jose Mourinho was quick to praise Perisic, who he attempted to sign last summer before Inter Milan upped their demands over the cost.
He said: "Perisic is the kind of winger that is different to the others.
"Normally you look at wingers and they are just fast and creative.
"But he is also physical, very physical, fantastic in the air."
