JORDAN PICKFORD was arguably the goalkeeper of the World Cup -and he enhanced his reputation once again with a wonder save today.
England were 1-0 down to Belgium as the game moved into the last ten minutes when Pickford chose his moment to shine.
Dries Mertens pinged the ball into Thomas Meunier in the box, and for all intents and purposes the victory was about to be sealed.
But his stinging volley was somehow kept out by Pickford with a stunning right-handed save.
It was a superb counter-atack from Belgium involving Eden Hazard, Kevin De Bruyne and Mertens before Pickford put forward his own contender for 'save of the tournament'.
With just seconds of the game in normal time remaining, the Everton stopped threw a hand out at Mateus Uribe's stunning 30-yard effort that pushed the ball over the bar.
For many that was the save of the tournament, but now there might just be another contender.
