MURDEROUS Pat Phelan will stop at nothing - even bribing a young lad to help set him free.
Phelan was kidnapped by Gary Windass in a dramatic episode that saw the evil villain taken from his caravan and tied up in a cellar.
And in even more sinister scenes tonight, Phelan tries to bribe young Jack Webster into cutting him free.
He offers the boy a tenner but makes him promise not to tell anyone.
And it seems Jack may be tempted as he says he could get his dad a present with the cash.
It should be - Last night, fans saw Jack wander down into the cellar where Phelan was being held before the serial killer spun him a story about playing hide and seek.
It was a brazen attempted to get the youngster to untie him.
He said: "It's like hide and seek... Well more like cops and robbers.
"I got myself caught Jack, that's why I got myself all strapped up like this."
But Jack was not so easily fooled, saying: "I know who you are Pat ... and I don't think it's a game."
But will Phelan's latest attempt to escape go to plan?
Coronation Street fans were stunned when Phelan was revealed to still be alive last month, despite Eileen believing she'd finished him off.
Since then, Eileen has been left terrified at his sinister behaviour.
She's got silent calls on her mobile returns home to find a brick has been thrown through her window and finds her furniture repossessed with the finger firmly pointing at the serial killer.
